| Mowgli 1/14/05-9/6/05 USA I was devistated of course because I did not get to hold his head in my hands one last time, or give him hugs like he loved. I was out of town and couldnt do anything about it. We were all very sad. I believe that I gave Mowgli the best last 3-4 months of his life that he could have had. I think he passed a happy dog. My heart still aches for him. |

| Leeu 2005 USA This is Leeu, "Old Man" as we affectionately nicknamed him. He left us summer of 2005 after 61/2 years. Not a day goes by he is not thought of. |
Loki was born on January 24, 2000 in Belgium, where we still lived at the time. We brought him back with us in April that
year, where he instantly fell in love with his Greyhound sister, Diana. Loki took about 2 whole weeks to housebreak and
hardly EVER had accidents in the house. A few of the things he was known for were chewing on the bricks to the house
(teething), getting bloody diarrhea from being kenneled because he was lost without his family, destroying any toy given to
him, claiming the bed as “his,” outrunning the Greyhound despite his stature, and his love for steak. Loki was diagnosed
with Lymphosarcoma on December 2, 2004. The whole thing was heart wrenching, especially because he was only 4 years
old. Our vet, who also owns a Boerboel, was fantastic. We eventually moved over to another vet in the same office who saw
Loki through with chemo. We grew to love her just as much and she was one of Loki’s favorite people. When Loki was at the
vet’s office they would let him out of the run in back to walk the hospital. Loki never bothered another animal there and
treated the docs and staff as family. So, when it was time to put Loki down and we lived in another state, we went back to
his family. It was a sad, sad day there at the vet and a lot of people couldn’t be present because they became so close to
him. Loki died peacefully on October 21, 2005 in the presence of his family. He resides on the farm of his vet’s parents under
a big tree next to her very own dog. RIP big guy!
