Have You A Dog In Heaven? Have you a dog in Heaven, Lord? And do You pat her head? Does she sit up and beg each night Before she goes to bed? Does she look up with shining eyes when she sees Your smiling face? Does she wag her stubby, little tail when she wants to run a race? Have You a dog in Heaven, Lord? Is there room for just one more? 'Cause my little boerboel died today; She'll be waiting at Your door. Please take her into Heaven, Lord, and keep her there for me. Just feed her, pet her, love her, Lord; That's all she'll ask of Thee. Author unknown Submitted by Christine in memory of all of our boerboel friends that have left this world and in special dedication to Jerry Heater and Doc.

Natt 2003 Sweden I had to let her go in 2003. She became only 3 and a half years old, but I will always remember her. She will always have a special place in my heart.

In Loving Memory December 10 - 15, 2005 "From our Heaven, to God's Heaven..." A POEM TO ELF, FROM HER MOTHER, HEAVEN: I was blessed with a litter from our God up in Heaven When my puppies at last were born, they totaled eleven. Little "Squidwards" you called them, with their wrinkled face and nose A blend of myself and Madala, from their head to their toes. The sound of their squeaks filled your home with such pleasure As each puppy you watched become it's own little treasure. With my whelping box filled like a stocking stuffed with toys Even Kenya was wanting to mother the new girls and boys. Each day they seem to change in some way, shape, or form From Squidwards into Boerboels, how quickly they transform One puppy will always be held close within our heart As quickly as Elf came into our world, so too did she depart. The loss of little Elf was hard for you to accept I saw in you much sadness, through the tears that you wept. But sorrow no more! Replace your tears with thoughts Of the gift of her love and the joys that she brought. How lucky we are to have shared her time here on earth Your lives have been blessed through the miracle of her birth. If puppies could become angels, amidst the King of Kings Then no doubt my little Elf would have a halo and wings. Though she's no longer with us, my litter still stands at eleven With ten that I still mother, while my Elf looks down from Heaven.

Dearest Little Elf, You were only with us for a brief time, but your presence was immense to us all. We are saddened that we will not have the opportunity to watch you grow and learn, and develop your own Boerboel characteristics and personality traits. In the same breath, we are happy that she blessed our lives for the five days that she was here, and we will always look back on her memory with fondness. Knowing all the good things that this litter of puppies represents, we choose to celebrate "Elf's" life, and not be distressed by her loss. From our Heaven to God's Heaven, Elf's memory lives on You were so significant of where we have come in our lives within the past month, and we will carry your memory with us through Heaven and her litter.
